The Texans made several minor moves on Wednesday.

They announced the signing of veteran running back Deji Karim, a deal his agent announced on Tuesday. They also signed center Tyler Horn.

Karim and Horn were at the Texans' rookie camp this past weekend as two of six veteran players there on a tryout basis.

Karim will battle with three undrafted free agents for the third-string running back spot on the Texans' 53-man roster. That's an important spot because Ben Tate is Arian Foster's backup. Tate has missed considerable time in his short career.

They Texans on Wednesday also released running back George Winn from Cincinnati and offensive tackle Dann O'Neill from Western Michigan. Both of those players were undrafted rookies.

Karim spent last season with the Colts and even had a 101-yard kickoff return against the Texans last year. He also spent a couple years in Jacksonville and was a teammate with Texans fullback Greg Jones.

Horn, from the University of Miami, was signed as a free agent by the Falcons and spent the final nine weeks of last season on the Titans' practice squad.

The Texans' roster is now at 89. They have one free spot remaining.
