The Cleveland Browns signed unrestricted free agent and former Texans kicker Shayne Graham on Monday.

Last season with the Texans, Graham made 31 of 38 kicks and but made just 11 of 18 from 40-plus yards. His consistency was an issue during the season and the Texans even worked out several kickers during the year.

Coming into training camp, Graham was in a competition with rookie fifth-round Randy Bullock before Bullock tore a muscle near his groin in the preseason and was placed on the Injured Reserve. Graham won the job by default.

Bullock should be back this season, which means the Texans will again have a new punter (Shane Lechler) and kicker.

Graham, a 12-year NFL veteran ranks fifth in NFL history, making 85.4 percent of his field goals. He set a Texans' franchise record with a career-high 138 points in 2012-13.

The day after the Texans' loss to the Patriots in the playoffs, Graham said he felt at home in Houston and wanted to return.

"I hope to stick around but who knows what happens," Graham said in mid-January.

The Browns will be Graham's sixth team in four seasons.
