Lin: 'I fully believe in the guys in this locker room'
Jeremy Lin made enough progress to get back on the floor on Friday night. Unfortunately, his efforts weren't enough to help extend the Rockets' season.
For the first time this season, the point guard started the game on the bench. This was after Lin bruised his right chest muscle late in the first half of the second game in the series. He tried to play in Game Three, but was limited in what he could do.
In the decisive Game Six, Lin said he was fine physically.
"I'm fine," he said. "I'm good to go. No problems today."
On Friday night, Lin drained his first three-point attempt. He did grab a rebound and blocked a shot, but overall, he was relatively quiet with totals of three points, one rebound, and one block in 13:26 on 1-4 shooting.
"It's a blessing I was able to play tonight," Lin said. "It's a blessing any time you get on the floor and you get to play - play basketball and get paid to do it. So for me, obviously tonight was not a good night. The result wasn't what we wanted, but when I take a step back, I do realize anytime anybody steps on the floor, it's a blessing."
