Fresh off a series win at Oakland, the Astros open a three-game series on Friday with the Angles in Anaheim, where the Astros swept a four-game series May 31-June 3. Starting for Houston is Brad Peacock, who has a 2.77 ERA (4ER, 13IP) and 15 strikeouts in his two starts since returning to the Astros. Houston catcher Jason Castro, who has hit safely in a career-high 12 straight games, is batting cleanup.

Mike Trout leads the Angels, who are 10-21 in their last 31 games. Trout has reached base safely in 37 straight games, the longest current streak in the majors. The Angels left fielder is tied for second in the American League with 61 extra-base hits. He’s second in the league in batting average .330, third in runs (84) and total bases (262), and fourth with 151 hits. Trout leads the majors with 47 multi-hit games. The Angels reinstated center fielder Peter Bourjos today from the 15-day disabled list. He missed 39 games with a right wrist fracture.
