There was a huge opportunity in front of Brandon Harris as he entered his fourth NFL training camp after veteran Brice McCain left the Texans in free agency.
And Harris knew it.
One is a seven-time Pro Bowler and a potential future Hall-of-Famer. The other is a relatively unknown 22-year-old seventh-round draft pick from Vanderbilt.
While fans will be at training camp on Saturday for the first practice this summer, they won’t get a chance to give Andre Johnson his first standing ovation of 2014.
The Texans have several open practices during their first few weeks of training camp, including two when they host the Falcons before the preseason game at NRG Stadium.
