In the history of their franchise, the Texans have only drafted two wide receivers in the first round. Those two took the field together for the first time Monday.
J.J. Watt had what was quite possibly the best season any defensive lineman has ever had in the NFL.
When Andre Johnson came out recently and said he wanted the Texans to take a wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins heard him.
And Hopkins knew he was the right guy for the job.
The Texans need a wide receiver.
But that doesn’t mean they’re going to draft one with the 27th overall pick.
