Sunday

Indianapolis at Baltimore, 1 p.m. EST. The Ravens' Ray Lewis announced this week he will end his 17-year career as one of the NFL's premier players, let alone linebackers, after the playoffs. Meanwhile, Colts coach Chuck Pagano spent four seasons coaching defense in Baltimore, then landed the head coaching job in Indy. He missed 12 games while undergoing treatments for leukemia and came back last week in a win over Houston.

---

Seattle at Washington, 4:30 p.m. EST. The Redskins won their final seven games to win the NFC East behind rookie QB Robert Griffin III, whose 102.4 passer rating was the best by a rookie in NFL history. Seattle rookie QB Russell Wilson threw 26 TD passes, tying Peyton Manning's NFL rookie record set in 1998.

SHUT DOWN

Minnesota's Adrian Peterson was held to 99 yards rushing in the Vikings' 24-10 loss at Green Bay on Saturday night. He ran for 199 and 210 in the first two games against Green Bay this season, and it marked only the second time in the past 11 games that he was held below 100 yards.

POSTSEASON STRUGGLES

Cincinnati has gone 22 seasons without a playoff win, the longest current streak of futility in the league. It equals the seventh-longest in NFL history, according to STATS LLC. Since their last playoff win, the Bengals have been through five coaches, had 21 different quarterbacks throw a pass, and lost all four of their first-round chances. Their last playoff win came against a team that no longer exists, at a stadium that no longer stands. They beat the Houston Oilers 41-14 at Riverfront Stadium in a first-round game in January 1991.

---

STEPPING IN

Minnesota's Joe Webb, who hadn't thrown a pass in a game since the preseason in August, finished 11 for 30 for 180 yards while playing for the injured Christian Ponder in the Vikings' 24-10 loss to Green Bay on Saturday night. He became the first quarterback in 20 years to start a playoff game without starting any games during that regular season since Frank Reich did so for Buffalo, according to STATS. Reich led the Bills to their famous comeback victory over Houston that year.

SPEAKING

``The whole stadium knew we had to line up and run the ball and boy, he was at his best there at the end,'' ``He's become a fine, fine player, and it just seems like the bigger it gets, the better Arian gets.'' - Houston coach Gary Kubiak on running back Arian Foster, who ran for 140 yards and a TD in the Texans' 19-13 win over Cincinnati.

---

``No disrespect to Ponder, but ... it's about one guy and that's Adrian Peterson. Our main focus, whether it was Ponder or Webb, was to keep 28 (Peterson) from getting off. And if we were going to keep him from getting off, put the ball in the quarterback's hands, whatever quarterback it was, we felt good about what was going to happen.'' - Green Bay's Charles Woodson on facing Joe Webb at quarterback instead of the injured Christian Ponder.
