It’s been a good week so far for Houston Dynamo fans.
With Sunday’s 2-1 win over the Chicago Fire, the team set a new MLS-record, 35-game unbeaten streak at home in all competitions and is now only one point from the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
And now Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis has been named the Major League Soccer Player of the Week as voted on by a panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR). Davis had an assist and the game-winning goal in the 81st minute in the win over the Fire. The 31-year-old has two goals and two assists in five league matches this season. He was also on the U.S. Men’s National Team, making an appearance in the World Cup qualifying draw in Mexico just a few weeks ago.
This is Davis’ first Player of the Week honor this season.
