Dynamo lose to Santos is CONCACAF

The Dynamo started off their season with a 2-0 win over DC United on Saturday.

The Houston Dynamo's run in the CONCACAF Champions League ended with a 3-0 loss to Santos Laguna at Estadio Corona.

Santos scored in the 23rd minute after Warren Creavalle was whisted for a foul. Dynamo keeper Tally Hall saved the penalty kick but Santos punched in the rebound.

In the 28th minute, Santos took a 2-0 lead when Heculez Gomez beat Bobby Boswell to a long ball and hit it home.

Santos scored their third and final goal in the 28th minute.

Houston outshot Santos 13-12 but forced the Santos keeper to make just two saves. They finished the tournament with a 3-1-2 record.
