The Houston Dynamo held a year-end celebration on Tuesday night at Hotel Zaza where they announced their 2012 team awards.
The event, Dynamo Celebration 2012: A Year to Remember, was presented by the Halliburton Charitable Foundation. Players, coaches, front office staff, fans, and sponsors attended a cocktail reception followed by a lively awards ceremony where the club’s achievements over the past year were honored as well as organizational, team, and individual achievements, both on and off the field.
INDIVIDUAL AWARDS:
Ironman of the Year: Tally Hall (most minutes played)
Young Player of the Year (must be under 23): Will Bruin
Newcomer of the Year: Boniek Garcia MLS W.O.R.K.S. Humanitarian of the Year: Will Bruin (for his work on the Bald is Beautiful campaign)
Defender of the Year: Bobby Boswell (third time in five seasons)
Players' Player of the Year (voted on by the team): Boniek Garcia
Budweiser Golden Boot (most goals): Will Bruin (had 16 total between regular season and playoffs)
Play of the Year: Adam Moffat’s goal vs. Sporting Kansas City on Nov. 4
Most Valuable Player: Brad Davis (4th straight year)

Dynamo Academy Player of the Year: Carlos Ibarra
