A handful of Houston basketball all-time greats will sign autographs prior to the Cougars’ game versus UTEP on Wednesday night.
This group features five of the top-25 scorers in Houston history, scoring a combined 10,373 points between them, and members of teams that compiled a 350-129 record and made 10 postseason appearances, including three NCAA Final Fours and eight NCAA Tournaments.
No. 1 Elvin Hayes 2,884 points (and 1,602 rebounds)
No. 2 Otis Birdsong 2,833 points
No. 7 Dwight Davis 1,741 points
No. 9 Greg "Cadillac" Anderson 1,662 points
No. 25 Ollie Taylor 1,231 points
They will be signing from 6:30 p.m. until 15 minutes left in the first half.
Also, the first 1,000 fans in attendance at Wednesday’s game will receive a Jim Nantz bobblehead. Nantz is a Houston Golf alum and CBS Sports broadcasting great.
