After helping to lead No. 16 Texas A&M to wins over Southeastern Conference foes Mississippi State and Missouri last week, guard Peyton Little has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week.
Little was 5-for-8 from the three-point line on Sunday to help the Aggies tie a 17-year-old school-record of 12 made three-pointers in a game, which ties for the most three-pointers made by an SEC team in a conference game this season. Little's 17 points in that game was her highest tally in a conference game this season.
For the week, Little shot 58.3 percent (7-for-12) from the floor and 54.5 percent (6-for-11) beyond the arc and recorded her first career block.
The Aggies return to the court Thursday night when the Aggies host Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. when fans will have the opportunity to take pictures with Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel.
