Spring Westfield gets the first crack at completing a perfect season tonight when the Mustangs take on defending 5A Division II State Champion Spring Dekaney Thursday at George Stadium.

The 9-0 Mustangs have made lives miserable all season long on opposing defenses, having scored at least 30 points in all but one game this year.  Running back Emmitt Raleigh is the engine that drives the offense with better than 1,500 yards rushing and 25 touchdowns to his name.  Quarterback William Dedon is hitting on 65 percent of his passes this year and has 13 touchdowns against just six interceptions.

Raleigh may meet his equal in Dekaney running back Demarcus Felton, who has picked up right where last year’s hero Trey Williams left off.  Felton has 1,675 yards rushing and has scored 19 touchdowns for the Wildcats.

Expect a high scoring affair.  Dekaney’s given up points to the better teams on its schedule this year, but in every game, even its losses, the Wildcats have been able to score as well.  Dekaney has averaged 25 points in its  two losses this year.
