Graham (13-1)

Defeated Lake Worth 44-7, Glen Rose 42-28, Greenwood 41-23, Gatesville 40-35

Working its way through the letter ‘G’ in the playoffs, gets one more in the semifinals. Steers scored less than 28 points in a game just once all season. Quarterback Ben Davis has thrown for more than 3,000 yards and 26 touchdowns while rushing for 12 more.

Gilmer (13-1)

Defeated Canton 51-36, Atlanta 57-13, Argyle 42-21, Henderson 41-34

Gilmer won the state title as recently as 2009 and is back in the title hunt this year.  The Buckeyes haven’t lost to a UIL school this year, its only loss was to Prestonwood Christian in week two.  The Gilmer offense is on a roll, having scored at least 40 points in six of its last seven games.

Navasota (14-0)

Defeated China Spring 62-16, Jasper 59-14, La Marque 31-20, West Orange-Stark 38-7

The state’s top ranked team in 3A hasn’t had many challengers all season.  La Marque is the only team to play the Rattlers to within 28 points all season.  Navasota has skill position players to spare and was deadly in the Wildcat formation against WO-Stark.  The defense has pitched five shutouts and held five other opponents to single digit points, while offensively Navasota hasn’t scored less than 31 points in a game all season.

Bellville (11-3)

Defeated Cuero 34-13, Wimberley 21-7, Orange Grove 42-0, Port Isabel 22-0

Allowed just 20 points in playoffs, the Brahmas defense held four teams scoreless and four others to single digit points in 2012.  Only loss in last 10 games was to El Campo, which is in the 3A Division I state final.
