J.J. Watt's celebrity status isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
He's in a new ESPN spot for the 44th season of Monday Night Football. In the 30-second promo, Watt says everyone from his former pizza man Ken to Ken Griffey Jr. to Kenny Loggins will be watching him make a play. Loggins even makes a brief cameo.
According to the Texans' website, the campaign "centers on the fact that Monday Night Football is the biggest stage for the league’s players, fans and Fantasy Football players."
The Texans will help kick off the Monday Night Football schedule with the nightcap of a doubleheader. The Texans play the Chargers in San Diego at 9:20 on Sept. 9 after the Eagles-Redskins game.
Watt is coming off his second season, a year in which he had 20.5 sacks and was named the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year.
