The Houston Texans will be prominently featured in prime time in 2013 with four games on Sunday, Monday or Thursday night.
The Texans will open the season with their lone appearance on Monday Night Football in San Diego September 9.
Houston will travel to the west coast again for its first Sunday Night telecast October 6 against the NFC champion San Francisco 49’ers.
November 3 will be the Texans’ lone Sunday Night game against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts.
Houston will also make a Thursday night appearance, on the road December 5 at Jacksonville.
The schedule is balanced compared to previous seasons. There is one three game home stand and no road trip is longer than two games this year.
The NFL backloaded the Texans’ schedule again with playoff opponents. New England and Denver will make a trip to Houston in December. The Patriots game is set for December 1, Denver will play here December 22.
The Texans close out the season on the road at Tennessee on December 29.
