Texans need to game plan for Gronkowski

Another day, another day of perfect attendance for the Texans at practiced.

Everybody on the roster practiced on Friday and everyone seems ready to play against the Patriots on Sunday in New England. The only player who missed a day of practice was Alan Ball. Ball (toe) missed practice when it was raining and the team was inside the bubble.

“We’ve been through the beat up part,” head coach Gary Kubiak said when asked about the team’s health. “The inside linebacker issue, those things. But we’ve got some guys back. The biggest thing for us is that Brooks (Reed) comes out of the game healthy. That was huge for our linebacking corps. I think (Derek) Newton is probably feeling as good as he’s felt the last six weeks. He’s played hurt for us.”

Tight end Garrett Graham has practiced all week but finally passed the final hurdle in concussion protocol early on Friday morning. Graham missed the first Patriots game with a different concussion.

“It’s very big,” Kubiak said of Graham being healthy. “We use those guys so much. We went all year with two tight ends. We missed him a couple times in the season and obviously it affects us. It’s good to have him back.”

It’s a good thing the Texans are healthy, because so are the Patriots. Every player on that team has practiced all week as well.
