The Texans have signed wide receiver Kashif Moore to their practice squad, a source confirmed on Wednesday.
The news was first reported by Scout.com's Aaron Wilson.
Moore, an undrafted receiver out of UConn, was released by the Chargers' practice squad on Dec. 12.
“It’s definitely just a blessing,” Moore said. “To get the opportunity to be here is great. To be able to help this team in any way with them in the playoffs is great.”
Moore was picked up by the Bengals early in the offseason. After the Bengals cut him, Moore was picked up by the Colts and eventually put on the practice squad. From there, he went to San Diego.
He caught 126 balls for 1,699 yards and 13 receiving touchdowns in 50 games at Connecticut. At the Combine, he ran a 4.42 40-yard time and had a 43.5-inch vertical leap.
