Gary Kubiak addressed the media on Monday to talk about the Texans' 30-9 loss to the Ravens on Monday.

After outplaying the Ravens for much of the first half, the Texans went into halftime trailing and never rebounded.

Kubiak said Andre Johnson and Duane Brown are both day-to-day. He also said Ed Reed came out of the game without soreness.

Offense not clicking
The Texans' offense never got into a rythm on Sunday and failed to score an offensive touchdown, something that happened just once in 2012.

“Yeah, I don’t think we’ve played a good team game from start to finish this year," Kubiak said. "Is that what you’re asking me about? We’ve been inconsistent. We’ve turned the ball over. We’ve shown signs of some great things. Going into the game this past weekend, we’re averaging 450 yards a game. That’s unheard of in this league. Then we go down there this weekend and we struggle to move the ball."

Schaub's struggles
Matt Schaub threw for just 194 yards and an interception. But that interception was huge and was returned for a touchdown.

Schaub now has four interceptions in three weeks. He didn't throw his fourth pick until Week 6 last year. He threw just four through the first eight weeks of the 2012 season.

“Well, I’m concerned about a lot of things," Kubiak said. "We turned the ball over obviously and that’s something that we’re not doing very well right now or we’re doing a poor job of protecting the ball, and we’re not getting turnovers either. Those two go hand-in-hand.

"As a football team, we’re losing that battle, which we were very good at last year and we’re off to a very slow start this year. That has to change. But it’s not just the quarterback. Everybody’s involved in what we’re doing and we can do a better job up front, a better job running routes. He’s got to make good reads, all of those things. Those things go together.”

Special teams mistake
One of the biggest plays in the loss on Sunday was Tandon Doss' 82-yard punt return. That put the Ravens up 11 points and came shortly after the pick-six.

“Actually, our coverage was the exact same coverage that we had the punt before," Kubiak said. "We just tackled the time before. We didn’t tackle that time. We had four guys free and we had three missed tackles on the play, so it’s inexcusable. We have to get him down right there.”

Penalties
The Texans tied a franchise record with 14 penalties on Sunday.

"We set a franchise record for penalties right?" Kubiak said. "When you do that and turn the ball over, you’re not going to win, especially on the road against a real good football team. It’s obviously a very disappointing situation. Something that we addressed today and we’ve got to go get corrected this week. That just can’t happen.”
