The Texans will have the first pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

After winning their first two games of 2013, the Texans lost the final 14 to become the worst team in the NFL.

Coming into Sunday, the Texans needed a loss or a Redskins win to earn the first pick.

The Texans will also need to hire a new head coach. That head coach will probably have some say in who the team takes with that first overall pick. The top quarterbacks are Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater, Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel and Fresno State's Derek Carr.

Of course there's no guarantee the Texans will take a quarterback but 10 of the last 13 first-overall picks have been quarterbacks.

This will be the third time in franchise history the Texans have the first-overall pick. They took David Carr in 2002 and Mario Williams in 2006.

Jadeveon Clowney is considered the best defensive player -- and perhaps the best player -- in the draft. If the Texans took him, it would be the first time a defensive player went first since Williams in 2006.
