Garrett Graham's season -- and maybe Texans' career -- is over.
The fourth-year tight end, who came into the season as the backup but took over starting duties for Owen Daniels, has been placed on Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury. The 27-year-old, in his final year under contract hasn't played since Dec. 5. Graham was a fourth-round pick in 2010.
The Texans have also placed FB/TE Brad Smelly on the IR with a calf injury. Smelley was signed later in the season to help the team deal with injuries to Daniels and Graham.
In their places, the team has signed RB Chad Spann and TE Phillip Supernaw to the active roster from the practice squad. Supernaw has spent time with the Texans before and Spann will help a very depleted running back group.
