The Texans came out of their game with the Patriots with plenty of bruised egos.

They have some physical injuries too.

Garrett Graham missed the game on Monday night and is still recovering from a concussion. The tight end practiced on a limited basis

“Well, we miss Garrett, he’s a fine player," Gary Kubiak said at his Tuesday press conference. "He might be as improved of a football player as we have on this team. He gives us a lot of flexibility in what we do with two tight (ends) and three tight (ends). You saw we had a tackle playing some tight end last night."

Kubiak said Graham will be on the field on Wednesday but still needs to pass one more concussion test to be cleared to return to have action. Until that happens, he can't play.

Right tackle Derek Newton also missed Monday's game with a knee injury. And again, the right side of the Texans' offensive line struggled.

“He’s doing good," Kubiak said of Newton. "Until he’s back on the field I’m not ready to tell you he will be ready to play. I think there’s a process that he’s got to go through this week. But he did work today and worked well.”

The good news from Monday's game is that the Texans didn't suffer any significant new injuries. Kubiak said linebackers Darryl Sharpton and Tim Dobbins "came out of the game a little banged up" but that was it.
