Texans to hold kickoff events on Sunday

The Houston Texans will hold a couple of kickoff events on Sunday to celebrate the start of their 2013.  

The first event will be held at the Academy Sports + Outdoors at 2804 Business Center Drive in Pearland from 2-4 p.m. Texans cheerleaders and the mascot, TORO, will attend as well as Texans ambassadors Corey Bradford and Eric Brown. Fans will have opportunities to compete in contests, including a corn hole tournament where they can win a tailgate game prize pack, an eating contest where four contestants will try to win tickets to the Texans vs. Seahawks game, or a scavenger hunt through the store to win an Ultimate Tailgating Package. There will also be live music and inflatable games.

The second event is a Back to Football event that will be held at the Kemah Boardwalk from 5-7 p.m. Texans cheerleaders and TORO will attend this event as well along with Texans ambassadors, N.D. Kalu, Jamie Sharper and J.J. Moses and the Battle Ready Band. There will also be interactive games and prize giveaways.
