Another coach from the Texans' disastrous 2013 season has been fired.

This time, offensive line coach John Benton has been let go by new coach Bill O'Brien and the Texans.

On Tuesday, the Texans announced that they had fired 16 coaches and were retaining defensive line coach Bill Kollar. The release did not mention holdovers Benton or special teams coordinator Bob Ligashesky.

Benton just finished his eighth season as offensive line coach for the Texans. The Texans finished with a 2-14 record in 2013.

Gil Brandt of NFL.com previously reported that Brian Ferentz, who is the offensive line coach for Iowa under his father Kirk, will be the next offensive line coach of the Texans.
