It looks like tight end Garrett Graham is in danger of missing his second straight game.

He missed practice again on Thursday with a hamstring injury.

“It’s similar to last week and he didn’t play last week,” interim coach Wade Phillips said, “so it’s not looking good from that standpoint.”

If Graham is out, the Texans find themselves very thin at the tight end position. Fullback/tight end hybrid Brad Smelley, who played last week, is dealing with back soreness and hasn’t practiced this week. Phillips said they’re hoping Smelley is ready by game time Sunday but said right now Smelley is “iffy.”

That leaves rookie sixth-round pick Ryan Griffin as the only healthy tight end on the active roster.

The Texans also have Phillip Supernaw on the practice squad. They added him this week and there’s a chance they could sign him to the active roster before Sunday if Smelley is out.

Johnathan Joseph (groin), Antonio Smith (knee) and Darryl Sharpton (ankle) returned to practice on Thursday as expected. DeVier Posey (high ankle sprain) was still out.
