Texans players don't like short week

Two weeks ago, Ben Tate had one of the worst performances of his career.

That just made Sunday's 102-yard, three-touchdown performance a little sweeter.

"Yeah, I think it was a game I definitely needed," Tate said on Monday. "I needed something like that out there. Struggling the week before and, you know, dealing with this rib injury a little bit, definitely it was time. It was definitely due for a game like that."

Tate became the first player in the NFL this season to rush for over 100 yards and three touchdowns. Against Jacksonville two weeks ago, Tate ran seven times for 1 yard.

To what can his bounce-back performance be attributed?

He's feeling better. Tate has been dealing with cracked ribs for weeks and they're healing more and more each game.

He also said the offensive line played one of its best games of the season on Sunday.
