The Texans, in need of some veteran depth at offensive tackle, had Tyson Clabo in for a visit on Thursday, according to a league source.

Clabo, 32, spent seven seasons in Atlanta before joining the Dolphins in 2013. He played and started in 15 games last sesaon. Before that, he started all 16 games for the previous five seasons.

Clabo played for Texans offensive line coach Paul Dunn while in Atlanta.

In his eight-year NFL career, Clabo has played and started in 116 games.

The Texans need some tackle depth after second-year player David Quessenberry was diagnosed with lympohma. Behind starters Duane Brown and Derek Newton, the team has Brennan Williams and Will Yeatman, both of whom are coming off knee injuries. Then, they have a couple undrafted free agents.
