Donnie Jones might have already booted his last punt as a Texan.

Jones is an unrestricted free agent this offseason an the Texans are, at least, testing the free agent waters.

According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, 36-year-old Shane Lechler will visit the Texans on Thursday.

The visit will come a week after the first day of the Ed Reed visit. Reed still remains unsigned.

Lechler, a former Texas A&M Aggie, has spent all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Oakland Raiders.

Lechler's career punt average is 47.5 yards. His average in 2012 was 47.2.
