Brian Cushing will be ready for training camp in nine days.

According to ProFootballTalk, the Texans star linebacker has been cleared by Dr. James Andrews.

Cushing worked on the side during the team's workouts this spring but was eager to get back to fully practicing.

Cushing was injured on Oct. 8 against the Jets on a cut block from Matt Slauson. Cushing needed surgery on his ACL and his season wa over.

It's expected that Cushing will be eased back into practice and won't be a full-go immediately.

“I don’t think it’ll be full go right away,” Cushing said to CSN in late June. “But I think if anything, I don’t want to say a grace period, but we’ll definitely ease into things and take it slow and gradually build my workload up each and every day.”
