Ed Reed's debut with the Texans will have to wait.

The nine-time Pro Bowl safety was a game-time decision heading into Sunday's home opener against the Titans but is inactive.

Reed, 35, had offseason surgery on his hip and still hasn't played in any game for his new team. His next chance to play will be next week in Baltimore, against his former team.

Case Keenum, Andrew Gardner, Cierre Wood, Cody White, Tim Jamison and Sam Montgomery are also inactive for the Texans.

With Wood inactive, the Texans must feel comfortable with Arian Foster's health, as he and Ben Tate are the two active running backs. The Texans were down a defensive end last week without Antonio Smith and they will be short one today with Jamison inactive.

The Titans inactives: WR Damian Williams, RB Shonn Greene, LB Zavier Gooden, C Brian Schwenke, OT Byron Stingily, DE Deyunta Dawson, DE Lavar Edwards.
