Texans linebacker Brooks Reed is inactive for the team's regular season finale in Indy.

Reed re-injured his groin in his first game out after missing considerable time. He said he was ahead of schedule before coming back.

Reed was limited all week in practice and was listed as questionable. If the Texans win on Sunday, he'll get an extra week to heal.

In his absence, rookie Whitney Mercilus will start on the weakside and Connor Barwin will move to the strongside.

Cornerback Alan Ball, CB Stanford Routt, OT Andrew Gardner, OL Cody White, NT Terrell McClian and OL Antoine Caldwell are the other inactives.

The Colts are missing four starters among their inactive players: C Samson Satele, NT Antonio Johnson, DE Corey Redding and safety Tom Zbikowski. They are also missing WR Nathan Palmer and Tony Hills.
