The NFL doesn't want your baggage. And neither do the Texans.

The Houston Texans have adopted the NFL's new policy, which limits the size and type of bags and containers that will be allowed inside NFL stadiums.

Here's what will be allowed:

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12x6x12.

One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags.

Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.

An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Basically, what that means is that purses, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage, seat cushions, computer bags and camera bags are now not allowed.

“The Houston Texans will adopt the NFL’s policy on bags for the upcoming 2013 season,” Houston Texans president Jamey Rootes said in a statement released by the team. “Our game day experience at Reliant Stadium has consistently been recognized as among the finest in professional sports.

"We have the best fans in the world and providing a safe and secure environment has always been our top priority.  We will work hard to ensure that this important improvement to our game day environment is implemented as seamlessly as possible for all of our guests on game day."
