Andre Johnson, Duane Brown and Brian Cushing will all be dressing Sunday in San Francisco.

Brian Cushing has passed the NFL's concussion protocol. It was Cushing's first concussion and said with it being so mild he never doubted that he was going to play against the 49ers.

Cushing is off to the best start of his NFL career. He has 44 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and an interception return for a touchdown through the first four games.

He said he felt helpless watching the Texans lose their late lead to the Seahawks and eventually lose the game in overtime. Cushing said he actually stopped watching before the game ended because he was so frustrated.

Cushing suffered his concussion on the play prior to what everyone assumed. In the third quarter with 8:11 left to play, Cushing made a tackle on Marshawn Lynch for a one yard loss. Cushing stayed in the game for another play. Sidney Rice caught a ball over the middle and Cushing made that tackle as well and then removed himself from the game.

Brown has missed the last two games because of turf toe but will suit up Sunday. Brown practiced with the team on Friday and Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said that Brown will play.

Ryan Harris had filled in nicely for Brown while he was out, but the Texans lost both games that Brown missed.

Johnson will also play Sunday after battling all week through a shin injury that occurred two weeks ago in Baltimore. Johnson said that his shin did get banged up again Sunday at Reliant Stadium and began swelling up just like it did after he initially injured it against the Ravens. Johnson did say that the way the training staff handled his rehab process heading into last weeks game was so successful that they are using the same plan this week as well.

Johnson is tied for the NFL lead in receptions with 34 and is averaging 92 yards per game receiving.

Right guard Brandon Brooks will not play Sunday because of an injured toe. Ben Jones will start in his place. Also out against the 49ers will be linebacker Tim Dobbins because of an injured hamstring.
