Andre Johnson is being evaluated for a concussion, head coach Gary Kubiak said after the game.

In the fourth quarter, Johnson made a 21-yard catch on the sideline and held onto the ball despite taking a hard hit from Tennessee safety Bernard Pollard. Johnson was able to pop off the ground and jog off the field but did not return.

Texans tight end Owen Daniels said he spoke with Andre Johnson after the game. Johnson told Daniels he was “alright.”

The catch was originally ruled incomplete but the call on the field was challenged by Kubiak and was reversed. But the Texans wanted a flag on the hit from Pollard. That catch set up a touchdown run

“I’ve never seen a more blatant blow to the head,” Daniels said. “It’s just a big miss by them, especially a guy like Andre. You want to protect every player but especially someone like him. I’m just glad he’s alright.”
