Garrett Graham is still not practicing and interim coach Wade Phillips said Graham is "about the same as last week."

Graham missed the Colts game with a hamstring injury. In his place, rookie Ryan Griffin started and played well. New Texan Brad Smelley was the second tight end but the team is concerned about him going into this weekend because of some back soreness.

Owen Daniels, who is on Injured Reserve with designation to return, is still not practicing. He has been eligible to return.

The biggest injury news of the day was that Ben Tate (ribs) was placed on Injured Reserve.

Johnathan Joseph (groin), Antonio Smith (knee) and Darryl Sharpton (ankle) all missed practice on Wednesday but Phillips said he expected them to be back on Thursday.

Greg Jones, Andre Johnson and Wade Smith got rest days. Justin Tuggle was limited with an elbow injury.
