Duane Brown missed Sunday’s game and is still day-to-day, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.
“Duane is upbeat, feeling very good today,” Kubiak said on Monday. “But I think Duane is still a day-to-day process as we work through the weekend. We’ll see. We’ll know more when we get to Wednesday. The more time we get with Duane, the better.”
Brown has missed the last two weeks with turf toe.
“He couldn’t play, bottom line,” Kubiak said when asked if Brown was close to being able to play. “So I don’t know how close he was. He pushed himself to the limit. It’s not like we worked him out before the game or that. He just couldn’t do it.”
Brian Cushing suffered a concussion and was “feeling much better” on Monday, Kubiak said. Cushing will need to pass the NFL’s concussion protocol before he’s allowed to play.
Right guard Brandon Brooks came out of Sunday's game with a sore toe. The team will know more about his status on Wednesday.
