Andre Johnson hasn’t missed a game because of his shin yet, but head coach Gary Kubiak said Johnson will likely be a game-time decision against the Rams on Sunday.

“It’s kind of like what it was last week,” Kubiak said. “He’s very sore from coming off the Baltimore injury (Week 3). He’s been pushing through it for us. It’s just a tough thing to work through. We’re basically giving him Wednesdays and Thursdays and getting him going on Fridays, trying to get to game day but it’s been very frustrating for him. We’re doing everything we can to get him back to full strength.”

Johnson, 32, leads the team in catches with 37.

Brandon Brooks, who missed last week with a toe injury, looks to be on track to play against the Rams. The team had a play count on him in practice and he took all those snaps.

“All indications are that he’s working toward being there ready to go on Sunday,” Kubiak said.

Wade Smith and Duane Brown were also limited in practice like Brooks.

Keshawn Martin (shoulder), Darryl Sharpton (foot) and Tim Dobbins (hamstring) also missed practice.

If Martin can’t play on Sunday, Shiloh Keo would return punts and Danieal Manning would return kicks. Assuming Johnson plays, DeVier Posey would become the slot receiver.
