Texans' first-round pick DeAndre Hopkins has been named the NFL's offensive Rookie of the Month for September.

The 27th-overall pick from Clemson caught 20 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown in four games in September. He's the ninth rookie to put up those stats in his team's first four games.

He leads all rookies in receiving yards, total yards from scrimmage and is tied for the most receptions. His biggest game came in Week 2 against the Titans. He had seven catches for 117 yards and caught the game-winner in overtime. Hopkins, at 21 years and 101 days old, became the youngest player in league history to score an overtime touchdown. It was the first 100-yard game for a Texans receiver other than Andre Johnson since 2010

Hopkins is the first Texans to win a Rookie of the Month award since Brian Cushing in 2009. Steve Slayton was the last offensive rookie to win the award for the Texans.
