Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on Wednesday afternoon said his Instagram account was hacked when it sent out an obscene video in the morning.

“Negative,” Hopkins said. “It’s not my genitals.”

Hopkins was at Reliant Stadium in meetings when the video posted. He said he was made aware of the video by his girlfriend, who also apparently tweeted from his Twitter account that the Instagram account had been hacked.

Hopkins said his teammates have been having some fun at his expense.

“Yeah. It’s funny,” Hopkins said. “These are like my brothers so my brothers would joke about this as well. It’s better days ahead.”

Hopkins said his account password was “pretty simple” and wasn’t sure who hacked the account. “There’s about a billion people in this world,” he said.

How will he prevent things like this from happening in the future?

“Make a harder password, first of all,” he said. “That’s the only thing I can do to prevent another situation like this.”
