Texans running back Arian Foster (hamstring) said he expects to be ready to play against the Colts on Nov. 3, the first game after the team’s bye week.

“It’s coming along good,” Foster said.

Foster left Sunday’s game early in the first half, after just four carries. He said he aggravated his hamstring by “cutting wrong.” It’s the same hamstring that was listed on the team’s injury report during the way.

Without Foster, Ben Tate took over but hurt his ribs on Sunday. The Texans didn’t have another running back active, so fullback Greg Jones had to take a key carry on a 3rd-and-goal in the third quarter. The Texans settled for a field goal on that very important drive.

Foster missed the entire preseason with calf and back injuries but has played in all seven games in the regular season. He has rushed for 542 yards on 121 carries.
