Daniels' younger brother visits Texans camp
Tony Levine and the University of Houston football team were in attendance Wednesday morning at Texans training camp.
Texans tight end Owen Daniels knows one of the Cougars very well: his younger brother Hayden.
Hayden, 20, is much younger than Owen, 10 years his junior, but talks to his brother often and even gets plenty football advice from him.
“Yeah. He’s always giving me tips,” said Hayden Daniels, who is an inside wide receiver. “He’s a great player. He’s been down here for eight years so he has a lot of information to give me.”
A third brother, Harrison, also lives in Houston. Their parents are happy about Hayden having his older brother around in a new city.
“You don’t get to have your family see you practice too often,” Owen Daniels said, “Even though I was kind of hanging out, getting a fat day, getting to relax, it’s still cool to have him around.”
Hayden Daniels, who was at the University of Illinois, said he has to sit out this year but is still excited to be a Cougar.
“He has way more potential than I ever had,” Owen Daniels said.
