Will Johnson, Brown play Sunday?
All Pro tackle Duane Brown and Pro Bowl wide receiver Andre Johnson missed practice on Wednesday but both worked on the side with trainers.
Brown (turf toe) and Johnson (shin) are looking like game-time decisions for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.
“He’s very sore but he’s doing a lot better than he was last week at this time,” head coach Gary Kubiak said about Brown. “We’ll sit here and continue to hope for the best and continue to prepare Ryan (Harris) to play.”
Brown missed last week’s game and the veteran, Harris, filled in. Harris would start again this week if Brown isn’t ready to play.
Johnson started the game but had to leave early after getting kicked in the shin. Kubiak said Johnson was “very sore” on Wednesday. If Johnson can’t play, Keshawn Martin would be the next receiver in and would play next to rookie DeAndre Hopkins.
Kareem Jackson (sick), Johnathan Joseph (toe), Darryl Sharpton (foot), Wade Smith (rest) and Owen Daniels (rest) also missed practice on Wednesday.
