Art Briles joins Texans' practice Wednesday

There was a special visitor at Texans practice on Wednesday: Baylor head coach Art Briles.

"Art Briles was out at practice today," interim coach Wade Phillips said. "Don’t want to start any rumors. He’s a friend of mine for one thing. As far as those rumors, he did not want to be my offensive coordinator."

Briles has led the Baylor Bears to an 11-1 record this season and they'll play the University of Central Florida in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year's Day.

"Did a tremendous job at Baylor obviously," Phillips said. "I was glad for him. His daughter worked with us at Dallas, for the Cowboys, so I’ve known him for several years. And I congratulate him certainly for a tremendous year."
