Andre Johnson was a limited participant on Thursday in practice for the second straight day but the Pro Bowl receiver thinks he’ll be able to play on Sunday against the Seahawks.

“I plan on playing,” Johnson said at his locker on Thursday. “That’s how I’m approaching it, so we’ll see what happens.”

Johnson participated in individual drills on Thursday but didn’t join the team portion of practice. He missed practice on Wednesday. He has a bruised shin. Head coach Gary Kubiak said Johnson and Duane Brown will be game-time decisions.

“Right now I feel like I’ll play,” Johnson said at his locker on Thursday. “It’s a process. I think going out today, running around, running routes helped me out. I guess when you have a bruise, a bad bruise like that one you just sitting around, I think when you get up and move around a little bit it helps.”

Johnson said he has felt better each day since the injury. He was kneed in the Texans’ loss to the Ravens last Sunday and needed to leave the game early. Johnson caught five passes for 36 yards before leaving. It’s just a bruise on the muscle; there’s no shin damage.

“Like I said, I’m doing everything I can to make sure I’m out of the field Sunday,” he said. “I look forward to playing.”
