The Jaguars already signed former Texans Justin Forsett and Alan Ball this offseason.

Then, on Friday, they signed wideout Mohamed Massaquoi, who also visited the Texans during the week.

The Texans weren't able to land the 26-year-old receiver, who will now likely be the fourth wideout option for the Jaguars, accordign to the Florida Times-Union's Ryan O'Halloran.

"On the Jaguars’ early depth chart, Massaquoi would likely slide in behind Cecil Shorts, Justin Blackmon and Jordan Shipley," O'Halloran wrote.

Massaquoi just finished his fourth NFL season. The former second-round pick has never had more than 36 catches in a season and has never had more than 624 receiving yards in a single year. In 2012, he played in nine games, caught 17 passes for 254 yards and zero touchdowns.

The Texans still have a big need at the wideout position. They have Andre Johnson, Lestar Jean, Keshawn Martin and a recovering DeVier Posey (Achilles).

But it's not a big surprise they haven't picked up a wideout in free agency. With just under $4 million in cap room, they don't have a lot to work with and good free agent receivers cost money.

There's a good chance the Texans look toward the draft to bring in a receiver. They have the 27th pick this year.
