According to the NFL, 98 players have been granted special eligibility for the 2014 draft.

Basically, these players are underclassmen. All 98 met the league's three-year eligibility rule and submitted a writted application to renounce their remaining college eligibility.

The 98 players crushed the previous record of 73 from last year.

The Texans have the first pick in the NFL draft this spring and they could take one of the players from the list.

There are many notable players among the 98, including former Heisman winner Johnny Manziel and other likley first-rounders Blake Bortles, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Jadeveon Clowney and Sammy Watkins.

Four players -- Dion Bailey, Carl Bradford, Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Hubbard -- who still have college eligibility notified the NFL they have graduated and are eligible for the draft.
