His 2013 debut was delayed 50 games with a suspension, but Jonathan Singleton made up for lost time in Quad Cities and Corpus Christi, slugging five home runs in 17 games as he worked his way to triple-A.
And in his seventh game for Oklahoma City, Singleton hit a home run in triple-A, displaying the power that has Astros fans eager for his eventual arrival in Houston.
Singleton went 1-3 with a pair of walks in Friday's 11-2 win over Omaha. While he took some time to get his first homer, he's displayed some power with three doubles and a .462 slugging percentage despite his .231 average for the RedHawks.
Across all minor league levels Singleton is hitting .259 with six home runs and 15 RBIs in 24 games.
