Carlos Corporan is good to go and will have a two-game rehab assignment at Corpus Christi on Thursday and Friday. The catcher will fly to Seattle on Sunday and join the Astros, who play a three-game series with the Mariners starting on Monday.

“Today was my first full normal workout,” said Corporan. “I came here early, stretched with the team, caught bullpen, threw to the bases, hit (live) BP (batting practice), in the field. I did everything.

“I feel part of the team again. I’m trying to stay as strong as I can. I feel good.”

Corporan was placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list on Aug. 20. Corporan was injured on Aug. 19 at Texas when he was struck in the head by a foul tip. This was Corporan’s first concussion.

Corporan had experienced dizziness and headaches, but has had no symptoms the fast few days.

In 50 games with the Astros this season the switch-hitting Corporan is hitting .245 with seven home runs and 17 RBIs.
