Seven college baseball teams will compete in the Houston Astros second-annual Houston Winter Invitational at Minute Maid Park from Feb. 1-4.

The NCAA Division-II universities participating in the event are: Central Missouri, St. Mary’s (TX), Arkansas Monticello, Arkansas Tech, Henderson State (AR), Tarleton State (TX) and Winona State (MN).

Winona State (MN). Central Missouri is currently ranked No. 19 while St. Mary’s is ranked No. 15 in the 2014 College Baseball News Preseason Poll. These two ranked teams will match up on Saturday night at 6 p.m.

The University of Central Missouri (formerly known as Central Missouri State) is the alma-mater of Astros Owner and Chairman Jim Crane. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Safety in 1976, while also starring on the diamond as a standout pitcher for the Mules. Immediately prior to Saturday's Game 3 between Central Missouri and St. Mary's, Crane will be presented with a special gift by the University of Central Missouri Athletics Director, Jerry Hughes, and the President of Central Missouri, Dr. Chuck Ambrose.
