The Yankees’ legendary closer, Mariano Rivera, will be in Houston for the final games of his illustrious career. The Astros host the Yankees for their final three games of their 2013 season this weekend.

Rivera’s 19-year career began in 1995 and his 652 career saves are the most all-time in Major League history. He was honored at Yankee Stadium on Sunday and could take the mound for the final time of his career this last weekend at Minute Maid Park, pending the Yankees playoff hopes.

However, the final homestand will begin on Friday with a special pregame ceremony to honor Bob Ford, who is in his 20th season as the Astros PA announcer. The last Big and Bright Friday Night fireworks show presented by Marathon Oil Corporation will take place after the game.
